We are an advanced level astronomy program within an urban school district. Students are inner city students, who have a passion for mathematics and science, and more specifically space science/astronomy. Students will benefit from your donation because monies will assist with the purchase of materials and products for activities such as WATER BOTTLE ROCKETRY (modeling the rockets of NASA) , chemical analyses (similar to tests performed in the Physical Science Module of the International Space Station) and Plant Growth Experiments (modeling the NASA VEGGIE-01 experiment ). The promotion of STEM careers through pathways which are innovative and infused with hands-on activities, field experience trips, shadowing and learning labs is what is being used as the vehicle within the program.
